There’s no longer state licensing exam. The post graduation exams are all in Italian 🙂

Hi 🙂 for a lot of them it is still open, but to be sure you should find the call to applicants of your top choice universities!

  2. Dear Serra, could you inform me if the pre-enrollment dates for the IMAT exam was already published?

    1. Anastasia (AcadIMAT)

Universitaly has opened the pre-enrollment processed, but there aren’t any official pubblications about it.

  3. Dear Serra,

When I started watching your videos, my son was just in the 10th grade. This year, he will be taking the IMAT for Sapienza. I hope he will be among the top 13 and follow in his sister’s footsteps.
    Thanks for your dedicated effort.
    Best regards.

  4. Weren’t there like 25 non eu seats in Milan? If its 15 now , the competition would be very tough. I was planning on choosing Milan .But now I’m not sure anymore.

  5. Hello. I have a question.

The number of seats for non-EU students was announced on May 26th. I understand that pre-enrollment takes place many months before this. So when students choose their first choice university in pre-enrollment, are they choosing without knowing how many seats are available?

    thank you.

    1. Anastasia (AcadIMAT)

Yes, technically true. But even if the available seats could change from year to year, we can see the previous trends to have an idea before we pre-enroll 🙂

Ma’am I will be receiving my Passport around 15 July 2024, Will I be able to Apply for Pre Enrollment for Medicine and Surgery

  7. Hi serra, glad to have found this article… it’s really helpful but please the seats for years subsequent to year 1 also included in the above posting? Secondly is IMAT 2024 still going to be written in October?

    1. Anastasia (AcadIMAT)

cutoff scores are not predictable, so you should take the number of seats into consideration as personal risk assessment 🙂

  11. hi sierra i had pre enrolled for milan statle and i only recieved a confirmation when i registerd, i still havent recieved any letter from the university acceoting the pre enrollment. can you tell me how long should i wait and is there then a way that i can pre enroll to another university as a non EU student?

    1. Since your studies were conducted in English, your diploma is considered proof of your English proficiency. Moreover, most unis don’t even request an English language certificate for medicine in English course applicants. However, as always, it is best to ask the unis for the most up-to-date information!

  12. Hey Serra.
Thank you for this website it really helped me. I know I’m a little late, but can i still pre enroll for the IMAT :,)

  14. Are you considered an EU student if you have EU citizenship and passports but did your highschool diploma abroad? Furthermore, what if you have a bachelor in physiotherapy (English) but do not meet the entry requirements for biology and chemistry with your high school diploma will they still let you study medicine (if you manage to score well on the IMAT)

    1. Hello, yes, you are considered an EU student. You are set if you have a valid high school diploma. There are no course entry requirements, so it does not matter if you have taken biology or chemistry.
